Where can I park? With our studio being in a town centre location there are plenty of car parks within a short walking distance. In the evenings you will be able to park at the back of the building which is on St, Georges St, however this will not be accessible during the day times due to other businesses occupying the spaces. You can park in Lidl on Swindon Road for 90 minutes however you need to purchase something from the shop to avoid a fine. Other car parks are listed below on the map.

What's the difference between Reformer and Mat Pilates? Both classes are based around classical Pilates fundamentals and principals. Focusing on strength, balance, flexibility and posture. Reformer Pilates is the use of the reformer machines. The beds work by using springs to add resistance which in some instances can assist you and in some can add an extra challenge for example adding a heavy spring in lunges to add resistance, or adding a heavy spring in a balance to offer you support. There are a maximum of 5 people in each reformer class to ensure safe and efficient use as well as being able to offer a personalised class. Our Mat Pilates classes are a staple in understanding the benefits of Pilates, without the use of the machines you are reliant on your body to do the work for you. That being said we offer small equipment including balls and rings to assist us on the mat and give variety to each class. Mat Pilates really encourages you to focus on mind to muscle connection and enables you to have a greater understanding of your body. We recommend a mixture of both to fully gain all the benefits Pilates has to offer, however ultimately it is up to you and what you enjoy.

What ability levels are your classes suitable for?The great news is our classes are accessible to everyone regardless of age, gender or ability. Each exercise consists of different layers and adaptations to suit individual needs. Our class numbers are small to ensure that each client gets tailored levels and modifications. You will notice on the timetable some classes are split into different levels.

What are the different levels of classes?Intermediate: This is a slightly faster paced class and doesn't offer so many of the base layers this is recommended once you have gained a more comprehensive understanding of the fundamentals and principals of Pilates. Mixed: The majority of our classes are mixed and these are suitable for everyone including beginners. We will do our best to ensure that every client is working at a suitable level for them. Beginner: If you are completely new to exercise or prefer a slower paced class this could be for you. If you are a beginner to Pilates but have an understanding around exercise I would recommend a Mixed class. Retired: This is aimed at the over 60's population to work specifically on balance, posture and mobility that deteriorates with age. Beauty and Hair class: This class is designed for those who work in the beauty industry or an industry which causes you to have a kyphotic ( rounding of the shoulders and flexion of the spine ) posture, due to the nature of your work. We will specifically focus on opening up the chest and strengthening the muscles in the back.

I'm Pregnant/ Postpartum, is that OK?The answer to this is not so simple but on the whole YES. You will need to check with your GP/ midwife that they are happy for you to engage in Pilates. If so, then our team are trained to offer specific adaptations and modifications to keep you and your baby safe.

I have an injury, am I OK to attend class?Pilates is great for injury rehabilitation and our team are trained to offer suitable adaptations and modifications for standard injuries however it is worth noting they are not trained to understand all injuries therefore if the injury is significant then you will need to be signed off by your GP/ physio before attending class. Our team would also benefit from a note from the physio listing any specific movements to avoid.
